What is Ride for Dads?

Mary Caulder and Valerie Antkowiak lost their fathers to cancer. They stood by their dads as they battled with the disease for many years consisting of both triumph and despair.

Our Ride for Dads team was formed by these two women, as well as Mark Pallone and Laura Hollis. Together, we are a group of cyclists who are dedicated to raising money to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and honoring the memories Jack Caulder and Jerry Antkowiak.

Our Goal:

With a combined total of over 30 years of TNT, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), cycling and fundraising experience, we feel we have what it takes to reach our goal of raising over $100,000 for LLS. In doing so, our team will receive a research grant in Caleb McNitt's name.

After battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia Steve and Caleb McNitt(AML) at the age of 10, and again at 13, Caleb has now grown into a 23-year-old man. He will graduate in December from Azusa Pacific University and wants to be a Middle School teacher.

Caleb's Dad, Steve McNitt, has been an avid participant on several TNT groups. He has also been a top fundraiser throughout his time with the organization. Steve keeps coming back in a continued effort to help support those who are finding a cure so other families will not have to face the same gut-wrenching challenges his son and family have faced over the years.
